Dress Rehersal

Tonight is our Rabbit Show dress rehersal.  The kids tried on all the pieces of their outfit to make sure we had all the pieces and everything fit.  Aren't they cute! -Mom

Teenage Chickens for Sale!

I have many Hens for sale, white leg horns, rhode island reds, and silver laced winettas.  I bought 26 chicks in February (born 2-1-11), they are about 2.5 months old.  They will begin to lay at about 4 months.  I am selling them for $15 each.  If you are interested in reserving a specific breed please let me know. -Austin

Mattie the Alpine Doe

I have had Mattie for several months, she was my first 4H project, a dairy goat.  She is an Alpine Doe.  We decided not to breed her this Spring with all of the other farm projects we have around here.  Kid goats are usually bottle fed to make sure their is no damage to the mother goat (she needs to be prefect for the fair).  I don't have the time to milk a goat and bottle feed kids several times per day.  Maybe next Spring I will decide to breed her. - Austin

Miss Mattie can't possibly nurse kids, it may mess up her figure! - Mom Aiello

Oreo Cookie the Handsome Buck

"Hi, my name is Bailey, this is my bunny.................." oops, I dropped it on the floor.  This is not going to go as well.

Practing for our first Rabbit Show

"1..2...3...4....dew claw. Stretch the legs of your rabbit to make sure they are straight and have no broken bones. It has no testicles, it is a doe."  Chloe is practicing for her first show this coming Saturday at Cal Poly.  She is ready and will do very well...........Bailey is another story!

Welcoming our new Boer Goat

I purchased my first market animal on Saturday, April 2nd.  We purchased him from the Sonne's ranch in Bradley.  This little guy  (acutally good size) is a wether (castrated male) weighing a hefty 65 lbs. -Austin Aiello
